We estimate over 70,000 Jewish people visit Whistler each year, in addition to the permanent 60 Families living here year round. For this year’s ski season, we have scheduled a number of unique programs with the goal to enhance the Whistler experience with Tradition, Culture, and Inspiration.

The first ever MENORAH SNOW SCULPTURE will be lit HIGH ATOP WHISTLER MOUNTAIN PEAK, at the ROUNDHOUSE & PEAK2PEAK. Sculptured 12 FT’ high by world renowned Canadian Snow Sculpture Team. A CONCERT BY ERIC SOLOMON!

Shabbaton’s are planned for weekends of Canadian and US statutory holiday, in addition to the Jewish holiday programs.

Shabbat experience with delicious traditional cuisine and international company. Friday Night service with melodies and inspiring songs followed by a home cooked Shabbat dinner.

Shabbat morning service that includes reading the weekly Torah portion explained with inspiring insights by Snowboarding Rabbi Chaim Shapiro, followed by a KIDUSH to refresh and start the day.
WEEKDAY SERVICES
Weekday minyanim are upon demand. Provided enough participants, we are planning for weekday minyanim during the winter vacation, Dec 19-Jan 4. We will have a service in the memory, and work on a Minyan.
APRÈS & HAVDALAH
Singing and Kumzitz around the Havdalah candles, to celebrate the conclusion of a joyful, peaceful inspiring Shabbat. Enter the new week invigorated, energized. Saturday specific dates.
Whistler Sinai Centre has an open door, attitude and policy towards every Jew interested in celebrating our tradition. We therefore do not charge fees, and invite everyone to feel Heimish and comfortable. We rely on donations ranging from small amounts; $18, $36, $52 etc. to partners in programs and full sponsorships.
